Interview assistant

AI Interview Assistant for Smarter Interview Preparation & Guidance

An interview assistant helps you rehearse before a conversation and follow along while it is happening. AceTheMeet is that assistant on Windows: a 15-minute mock, Live Guidance during a session, coding capture when a problem is on screen, and a recap stored on your computer.

Use real-time assistance only where the interviewer, employer, or platform allows it. The 15-minute mock is for practice.

Definition

What an interview assistant actually does

People use the phrase for two different jobs. One is preparation: practicing questions, hearing how an answer sounds, and learning the tool before a real call. The other is live help: software that listens to a question and shows a suggested answer you can use, shorten, or ignore.

AceTheMeet does both, in a Windows desktop app. The free 15-minute mock is for rehearsal. Live Guidance is for a session you choose to run. You still decide what to say. The assistant drafts; it does not take the interview for you.

It is also not a course, a question bank, or a promise about the outcome. AI answers can be incomplete or wrong. Treat them as a draft and check anything technical before you rely on it.

The hard part

Where interviews usually get difficult

Most candidates already know more than they can produce on the spot. These are the moments an assistant is meant to support.

  • 01

    The question lands first

You understand the topic and still go blank for the first ten seconds. A short, speakable draft gives you a place to start.

  • 02

    Topics jump

A screen can move from a project story to a system design follow-up without warning. Context from the session matters more than a script you memorized.

  • 03

    Coding is two tasks

You have to read the prompt and talk through an approach. Capturing the problem on screen is a different job from answering a spoken question.

  • 04

The language is not your first

Listening, composing, and speaking in a second language at the same time is a separate kind of pressure. The session language has to be chosen before you start.

  • 05

    The debrief is fuzzy

After the call it is hard to remember which answers were thin. A recap based on the transcript is more useful than a feeling.

AceTheMeet

How the product maps to those moments

Same Windows app, two modes. Live Guidance is for interviews. Meeting Intelligence is for everyday calls where you want notes, not a spoken answer.

  • 01

    Live Guidance

Listens during a session and can show a first-person answer grounded in the resume you provided. Press Get answer (Ctrl) when you want a response now.

  • 02

    15-minute mock

A free practice allotment so you can learn the workflow before a conversation that counts. Start from the mock interview page.

  • 03

    Coding Mode

Captures an on-screen problem and shows an approach, code, and talking points. Read the coding interview copilot guide for the limits.

  • 04

    Language lock

Set Interview language in Settings before Start. Live Guidance supports 9 spoken languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Hindi, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, and Arabic. English (India) is a locale option for English. Hinglish and Spanglish are bilingual modes for mixed speech, not additional languages.

  • 05

    After you stop

Post-Interview Intelligence scores the transcript, not the overlay hints. You get a performance score, strengths, feedback, a next-round plan, a short follow-up draft, and an exportable report in History.

  • 06

    Everyday meetings

Meeting Intelligence is the other mode: notes, decisions, action items, and a follow-up email. No meeting bot joins the call.

During the session

How Live Guidance runs

This is the live path. The AI interview copilot page goes further into who it is for and how a conversation is paced.

  1. 1

Install the Windows app and sign in

Live Guidance runs in the desktop app, not in the browser tab of your meeting. Download it from the Windows download page.

  2. 2

    Lock the interview language

Settings, then Language. The lock applies to listening and spoken answers for the whole session. Change it before you press Start, not halfway through.

  3. 3

    Press Start

Stealth turns on for Live Guidance so the overlay is built to stay off screen share and out of the taskbar. That is a design goal, not a claim that every platform or future update will hide it.

  4. 4

    Answer when you are ready

On a phone interview, put the phone on speaker beside the computer and press Get answer (Ctrl) when the other person finishes. Room audio and the phone itself affect how well this works.

Before the call

Preparation is a separate step

Live Guidance is easier to use if you have already seen the overlay, the shortcuts, and the pacing of a session. The 15-minute mock exists for that rehearsal. It is the same product workflow, with a free allotment of Live Guidance time, and a separate 15-minute allotment for Meeting Intelligence.

Use the mock to practice a story from your resume, a technical explanation, or a coding capture. The AI mock interview page explains what to practice and what the recap can show afterward. It will not make the real interview predictable.

Where it runs

A desktop app, local-first

AceTheMeet is a Windows application. It captures on your machine. Meeting and interview audio is not retained on our servers. Transcripts and reports stay on your device unless you export them.

Nothing joins Zoom, Meet, or Teams as a bot. The overlay is built to stay off screen share. You are still responsible for using it only where assistance is allowed, and for anything you choose to say out loud.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is an AI interview assistant?

Software that helps you practice an interview and, when you run a session, draft answers while the conversation is happening. In AceTheMeet that is the Windows desktop app: a 15-minute mock, Live Guidance, optional coding capture, and a recap after you stop.

How does AceTheMeet work?

You install the Windows app, sign in, set the interview language, and press Start. Live Guidance listens during the session and can show a suggested answer. When you stop, Post-Interview Intelligence scores the saved transcript on your device.

Can I use AceTheMeet for technical interviews?

Yes, for spoken technical questions in Live Guidance, and for on-screen coding problems when Coding Mode is on. It is an assistive draft. Check the output, especially code and numbers, before you treat it as correct.

Does AceTheMeet support coding interviews?

Coding Mode captures the active window (Ctrl+Z) or a region you snip (Ctrl+Shift+S), then shows an approach, code in the language the problem asks for, and short talking points. It does not plug into a specific IDE, and it will not solve every problem. Details are on the coding interview copilot page.

What languages are supported?

Live Guidance supports 9 spoken languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Hindi, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, and Arabic. English (India) is a locale option for English. Hinglish and Spanglish are bilingual modes for mixed speech, not additional languages. Set the option before Start. Written Meeting Intelligence recaps use a shorter list: English, Spanish, French, German, Mandarin, Japanese, Hindi, or Arabic. See the multilingual interview assistant page.

Can I try AceTheMeet before purchasing?

Yes. New accounts include a 15-minute Live Guidance mock and a 15-minute Meeting Intelligence trial. Open Try 15 Minutes Mock Interview and sign in. Paid session packs start on the pricing page.

Will AceTheMeet appear on my screen share?

The overlay is built to stay off screen share and out of the call roster, and Stealth turns on when you press Start for Live Guidance. We do not claim it stays hidden under every condition, platform change, or detection method.

Can I use it in any interview?

No. Do not use real-time assistance where the interviewer, employer, platform, or rules prohibit AI help. You are responsible for that decision. The mock is the place to practice.

Practice the workflow before you need it

The 15-minute mock is the fastest way to see Live Guidance on your own machine. Paid minutes are on the pricing page when you want more time.
